KODIAK COMMUNITY CAFE
The State of Alaska Office of Substance Misuse and Addiction is excited to host a community cafe in Kodiak in October. This community café is designed to help OSMAP directly incorporate the voice of Alaskan communities into the upcoming Statewide Opioid and Polysubstance Use Action Plan. The community café is a method that gets away from the town hall style of gathering community feedback, and instead ensures every voice in attendance is heard. Everyone in the community is invited to the community café.
At this event, we want to hear from the community in Kodiak about what polysubstance misuse, overdose, and substance use disorders look like locally. We are also hoping to hear about factors that are unique to the community that either help or hinder the response to these issues, as well as existing efforts to address them. RSVP recommended!
