Fighting Overdose: Voices on Polysubstance Use

On behalf of the State of Alaska Department of Health and Social Services (SOA DHSS) Office of Substance Misuse and Addiction Prevention (OSMAP) in collaboration with the Center for Disease Control (CDC), we are honored to invite you to participate in the “Fighting Overdose: Voices on Polysubstance Use” virtual community webinar on Wednesday March 31, 2021 from 10:00am to 12:00pm.

Who: The State of Alaska Department of Health and Social Services (SOA DHSS) Office of Substance Misuse and Addiction Prevention (OSMAP) in collaboration with the Center for Disease Control, and in contract with Government Event Services, will coordinate the “Fighting Overdose: Voices on Polysubstance Use” virtual community webinar on Wednesday March 31, 2021 from 10:00am to 12:00pm.

What: Teams will focus on topic areas across the spectrum of care to create strategies, objectives, actions, and measures for their own state. Each team is designed to inform greater understanding from geographical, subject matter expertise, influencer, and decision maker perspectives.

Why: This style of community café planning will increase equity in how interventions get funded, give voice to those involved across the opioid-related response, incorporate contextual information with the pandemic and other developments, and create a strong network across the country.
